SIMUL8 Viewer

The SIMUL8 Viewer is free software that lets you view and run SIMUL8 simulations created in SIMUL8 Professional. It's the full SIMUL8 Simulation System but files cannot be saved or structurally modified. The user may enter or change a simulation's parameters via spreadsheets or "custom dialogs".

How it Works

Simulation which are "built" in, or upgraded to, SIMUL8 Professional can be distributed using the viewer.

Limitations:

• The optimization engine (OptQuest) for SIMUL8 does not work with the Viewer.
• Simulation development features (like Stat::Fit) are not available with the Viewer.
• There is no SAVE button unless the developer adds a custom one via a custom menu or dialog.
• The SQL features in SIMUL8 Professional are not available. SQL was designed to work with large system databases like Oracle that must also be purchased separately.
• SIMUL8's COM and XML features are not available with the free viewer.
• You are only able to do single runs with SIMUL8 Viewer. It is not possible to run automated trials.
